What is the application process?

You can find the detailed admissions process here.

When is the application deadline?

Admissions are on a first-come-first-serve basis. Applications remain open for the upcoming cohort till we fill the seats. There is an advantage to applying early as there are more seats and a higher scholarship pool available.

What happens if I miss the admissions test?

If you are not able to attend the admissions test on a particular Saturday, we will invite you for the next test. If you are not able to attend that either, your application will be put on hold.

Can I defer my admission to the next cohort? What happens if I cannot attend the cohort after paying the deposit?

Unfortunately, we do not have a policy for deferring admissions. The deposit is forfeited if you're not able to attend the cohort.

Can I apply again?

Yes of course! Although we encourage you to seek feedback and make improvements before applying again to improve your chances.

Is there a minimum work experience requirement?

We recommend that you have at least one year of full-time work experience to make the best use of the program. However, we have admitted fellows with lesser work experience in the past on the basis of their internships or other experiences.

I do not come from a business background? Will I fit in?

Yes absolutely. We have Chartered Accountants, lawyers, doctors and many other folks who come from non-business work and education backgrounds. As long as you can demonstrate an ability to comprehend basic business concepts and a willingness to learn, you should definitely apply!

Do you offer any scholarships?

Stoa School sponsors a small pool of scholarships and all admitted candidates are considered for merit- and diversity-based scholarships. If you're awarded a scholarship, it is communicated along with the offer. To keep the process consistent and fair, we do not re-evaluate scholarships after the offer is rolled out.

What is the program fee?

The program fee for Apr'22 cohort is INR 2.95 Lacs including GST. If you apply before Feb 10, 2022, the program fee would be INR 2.5 lacs including GST.

Can I make a direct bank transfer?

We do not accept direct bank transfers. We use the payment gateway Cashfree.

How can I pay the deposit? Is the deposit refundable?

You have to pay a deposit of INR 30,000 (including GST) to accept the offer within the deadline mentioned in the email. The deposit has to be paid via the payment link using debit or credit cards or netbanking or UPI (payment options may differ depending on the payment gateway).
This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to another person or a different cohort.

What are the different payment options?

You can pay the fee in three ways: pay the full fee in lumpsum, pay in 3 interest-free installments, take a loan from our financing partner (interest applicable, tenure of 6 to 42 months)

How do interest-free installments work?

This option is applicable for debit cards or netbanking only (not on credit cards). You are instructing your bank to transfer money to Stoa School in 3 equal installments without any interest. Once you complete the e-mandate process, your bank takes up to 48 hours to approve the mandate. After that, the first installment is deducted within 5 days of e-mandate creation. Following 2 installments are deducted after 30 and 60 days of the first installment deduction.

By when is the balance program fee due?

For the Apr'22 cohort, the fee is due by March 15th, 2022. Please refer to the payment manual to understand what this due date means for different payment options.

What happens if I do not pay the fee by the due date?

If the payment is not complete by the due date, Stoa School reserves the right to cancel your admission and forfeit the deposit amount. Otherwise, there will be a penalty of INR 2000 per day of delay.

Can I foreclose my loan from the financing partner?

Yes, you can foreclose your loan by contacting the financing partner directly. The foreclosure charge will be ~2% of the outstanding amount.

What happens to the fee or loan if I decide to drop out of the cohort?

If you have paid to Stoa School directly (via lump sum or instalments) and you decide to drop out of the program for whatever reason, the fee will not be refunded. If you have taken a loan via our financing partner, you are liable to pay back the loan as per the schedule in your loan agreement.
